Oven BBQ Ribs
images by Frankie Leal
Many people wonder how to cook ribs in the oven. Is it possible to have fall-off-the-bone, tender ribs? Absolutely.
The best thing about ribs cooked in the oven is that, after minimal prep, you can put them in the oven and walk away for several hours. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Step by step
1. Preheat oven to 450°
2. Rub olive oil & season ribs with your favorite seasoning mix
3. Place on baking sheet and bake at 450° for 30 minutes
4. Reduce oven temperature to 250° and cook for additional 2 hours
5. Remove ribs from oven and brush on your favorite BBQ sauce
6. Cook additional 15 minutes at 250°
Chefs Note: Store bought BBQ sauce is fine when in a hurry. A good choice is Fresh & Easy’s Chipotle BBQ Sauce.
