Holiday dried
fruit sauce

Tis’ the season for Sauce! Holiday Dried Fruit Sauce that is.
Sauce up your Holiday with this great recipe that sits perfectly on top of chicken, pork and turkey. Instead of cranberries from a can this year, make this recipe and I’m sure your holiday guests will be pleased.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. Assorted Dried Fruit
Calimyrna Figs
blueberries
cherries
cranberries
apricots
golden raisins
(Were used in this recipe.)
1/2 C. Brown Sugar
2 C. Port or dessert Wine
1 Shallot (peeled/minced)
2 tsp. Olive Oil
1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions:
Saute shallots in olive oil until soft, meanwhile, coarsely chop figs and apricots. Once shallots have softened add Port, all assorted fruit, brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until wine is evaporated and dried fruit is lightly softened. Serve and Enjoy!
